Arc 6 conclusion - March 2021
I want this to go on the record so no one from Hutch can pretend to act surprised later.
Arc 6, concluding March 2021: RQ83 S 2016 KTM X-Bow GT4 - this has been long confirmed and planned.
Yesterday, March 4th was supposed to be the start of a Repeat Tri-series, but somehow Hutch decided to give us another new series. This is fine, but it has the potential to mess up the entire schedule.
Now Hutch will have to run another new prize car Tri-series starting Thursday March 18 and ending Sunday March 28. If they run a repeat then the Owner's challenge will interfere with the Arc 7 conclusion in the weekend of March 28.
I'm putting this here so that no one from Hutch later says "unforeseen schedule conflict, so we are pushing back the Arc 6 conclussion." Oh it was foreseen alright. The only way to avoid this conflict now is to run a new prize car tri-series on March 18.
Re: Daily event shake up suggestion
Good idea........ will never be implemented.

Re: Gumpert Apollo R Quals - Deutschland Tour (Event)
lol, I have played a bunch of other games that give decent compensation even if they go offline for a couple of minutes.
But complete screw up's with this game give you a useless aluminum (if you are extremely lucky and hutch are feeling super generous)

Another hand crafted and curated event clearly.
Daily event shake up suggestion
@Hutch_Robin @Hutch_Dmitri I have an idea to make the daily event more interesting.
At the moment we have afaik 31 sets of restrictions and tracks that cycle through a day at a time. If you removed one set of tracks, and they both cycled through independently (31 sets of restrictions and 30 sets of tracks) it would (I think) take 2.5 years before we saw the same combination.
Some combos would be dreadful. *dreadfully fun*...
Maybe that’s harder than it sounds, but it would certainly add some much needed variety if it’s possible.

Re: New Championship...what is the hold up?
I asked for better graphics 3 years ago lol._HighVoltage_ said:It has now been more than a year since the Yellowbird challenge was introduced. Majority of players have already finished it and wonder what is the hold up on creating a new one (or why it's taking so long). So let's examine:If you ask me, this is a huge wasted opportunity and I bet even Hutch coders are not happy that they put so much work creating an entire new mode and currency only for someone to not bother utilizing them more regularly. Why is the leadership prioritizing new graphics (something NO ONE has asked for) instead of gameplay features and improvements?
- Too difficult? Not really. The code and functionality already exists. The Renown currency already works, the Championship mode area is functional. It seems, at least from a player's perspective, that all that is needed is for someone from Hutch to create a new "event/championship." But maybe there is another issue?
- Too time consuming? Again, not really. A regular challenge is 20-25 stages. A championship is basically the same thing, but it has 7x Areas and 10x Stages each...so that makes 70 stages. A bit more than a standard challenge, but not so overwhelming that a single Hutch employee can't make it in a couple of weeks (but certainly not a full year!)
- No player interest? We've been asking for months
Maybe I'm wrong...maybe there's more to creating a new championship than what I can see or understand about the backend of the game. @Hutch_Robin care to weigh in and clarify? And please be specific this time. We've already heard the cop-out explanation "it's one of the things we are working on..."Is there a particular reason why a new championship hasn't been introduced yet?
What happens is that Hutch has the full team working on 5 different titles, F1 Manager being the most important to take care (yes, it's not true that Top Drives is their most successful game). Also, they aren't a big company, just a small studio, they lack personal to take care of all of the homework. I dare to say that they're biting more than they can chew.
New features on development are the most demanded ones. The forum community is 10% of the Top Drives players. I don't think they really listen to us or consider our multitude relevant enough to justify implementing out recommendations.
Really important things that the game needs and were already suggested here long time ago and not implemented yet:
- All pending car stats corrections.
- Handling score rebalance for every single car.
- Some bugs.
- Privacy (Facebook name).
- Bracket overfill and latejoiners.
And we can go on but you get the idea.
We just got to be patients, give them time to grow. They (still) are learning how to develope games (after like 7 years).
Re: New Championship...what is the hold up?
Feels like the game has gone in to sleep walk mode at the moment. I think we need some solid updates from hutch on what we can expect to see and when so i 100% agree with the above. The mood out in the TD playing community is one of creeping boredom. We need something to excite us and renew our interest in this game again.
