Driving back from Cornwall today and stopped at the Haynes Motor Museum as my boys really wanted to go there. Could have taken dozens of pictures: Corvettes galore including C5, El Camino SS, Dodge Viper RT/10, Escort Mexico, replica Jag XKSS, replica Jag D-Type, replica GT40, the list was huge. However, as far as I’m aware no-one has posted a first-hand picture of an XJ220. If not, do I win this thread? And that’s only an E-Type, 911 and Miura in the background.
I spotted this crossing from France to Italy in 2007, and the more I look at it, the more I think it’s the Ruf RK coupe from the game. Any expert opinions?
Lovely lambo , didnt like the colour some half matt sliver just looked mucky.
Had a run out to meet the K2RUM unicorn 780R , 780lb ft of torque per tonne
(Veyron 555 per ton)
Was a erm intresting passenger ride , put your foot down and the satdav sequential gear box fires through the gears auto magically before you can even touch the flappy paddels such is the rate it launches up the rev range . Makes a awful racket like a firework inside a type writer every change ! Rest of the noise is diff screams and turbo wines so much it sounds like a formula E car . As for speed it's a bit odd 30mph ooosh klunk klunk ooooosh clatter oooosh 150mph faster than you can read that , pinned too the seat but it's such a short blast of acceleration you have nothing to do other than hit the brakes slow right down and erm... repeat . Fun for a little bit when the roads stright , handling will be great but dont really feel great because your so buisy concentrating on getting the speed back down to a speed it could possible make a turn .
Perfect car too take to a race track and smuggly slay supercars, but for a run out on the road ... tenth of the throttle and a keen eye for speed cameras .
All this from a fiesta ST engine with standard internals making 50mpg 🥴🥴🥴
Has a button on the dash that halfs the power for when its raining. And a launch control.
Hasent got it yet but said theres a ludicrous option mode to change the tune to make it shoot flames and give out the constant back fire machine gun effect ... but he said it kills the exhaust

But lots of 0eople are converting to 1.6 EcoBoost.
Turns out ford has secret motor sport intentions for the 1.6 EcoBoost so its extremely strong n turntable more so than the 2.0 and above .
More impressive is its cheep , way cheeper to tune and to fix than the duratec... bog standard fiesta parts and costs then it's super fuel efficient too.

I might be wrong, but behind the 911 that's a De Tomaso Pantera (not a Miura) and behind it possibly a Ford GT 40 (replica). But anyway: A great shot of the fine XJ220, I really like that. So far, never seen one in real life.
It is a replica GT40 right at the back, and you’re right that it’s the Pantera - the Miura was in a different room! 🤦♂️
I was trying to get comedy mileage out of the fact that all everyone is talking about at the moment is the Moby Dick, but clearly I just sounded a bit ignorant! 🤦♂️

Ohhh, my bad. Joke’s on me!
To be fair, I’m spending so much time thinking about Dick that anything subtle or ironic is lost on me at the moment. I just can’t wait to get my hands on it 👏

Factory 620s uses a supercharged ford duratec .
