Can anyone confirm this (preferably with a 996 tune)? I just wanted to start maxing it out...
I confirm, this car is a disappointment. Terrible midrange. The Corvette 396 is faster even on a 1/4 mile, and destroys it on the longer drags. It may be good for 0-60, but that's it.

Well it will beat the Corvette on twisty tracks I guess, but who uses a Corvette on a twisty track anyway? Might be useful in an event where you have to use your drag car on twisties as well, but it's definitely not the new drag king of the Rare class.
think Durango should be 4wd so 303 as that will probably change in future, better to upgrade ASAP Corvette might be 033 candidate, test its midrange (1 mile, 0-120 and 0-150) at 3x 1.3 vs some similar car (maybe Camaro Z/28), that will make decision easier don't know about Cadillac
I am definetly keeping RAM, every offroad car seems useful. About others not sure, but i am gonna keep every new car for now, I expect a lot events using new cars in next few weeks.

I have to ask for the sake of it is the 2006 Charger SRT-8 as good as its stats hype? if so this is THE nail in the coffin for keeping the Mustang GT A class.
Dunno why the regular turbo got upgraded to 30 RQ from 29. It was nice to have the option to run it to save 1rq especially seen in the current Porsche event. But now it’ll never get picked over my other 2. I still really think the RQ limits need to be increased to avoid stuff like this. Has basically made the car useless to me unless in non RQ limited events

This is a good point. Separation in RQ for some of the big manufacturers would provide some gameplay benefit. This is mainly a result of just more cars, and the numbers at each RQ tier increasing. RQ 30 is still the smallest RQ tier.
If we do ever go to 35 or 40 max RQ, I would be open to having Legendary tier cars take up more of those slots, so that we can have greater granularity at the top end. In the short term, we could just make the RQ 30 tier have fewer models, but you don't get to go too far with that before the Turbo S becomes a 29 RQ, too.
I definitely take your point - it's more interesting if there's an RQ difference between the cars.

Just for example before the update I was able to rotate between the two hands above, depending on the hands my opponents are running. Giving a more strategic element to the event. However now I can only feasibly run the bottom hand and it would never make sense to swap out the 918 for my 911 turbo or even my turbo S pretty much making them useless since the 918 is so much better for he same RQ cost. And there are tons of other examples of this with cars in the legendary and epic range... eg. the newly raised KTM Xbow RR to 26 RQ when the super light and the furai are way better choices for the same RQ cost and similar stats (light twisty cars)

A bit more testing regarding the 699-gate.
I have a couple of cars with both 969 and 699 tunes, tested them on standing slalom, here are the results:
969 beats 699:
RQ22 Ford RS200
RQ17 Fiat Abarth 124 Spider
RQ17 Nissan Datsun 240Z Rally Car
RQ16 Lotus Elise
RQ15 Lotus Elise 1.6
RQ15 Mazda RX-8 PZ
RQ13 Mazda MX-5 BBR Turbo
969 draws 699:
RQ9 Caterham Seven 160
969 loses to 699:
RQ6 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint
RQ4 Citroen Mehari 4x4
So it seems the lower the RQ the less effect the update had on the 699 versions?
RQ13 RAM 1st Gen (4wd off)
RQ13 Plymouth Duster 340
RQ12 Chevrolet SSR
my guess is not worth except for RAM but don't wanna sell before i check
1/4 Mile
11.90
1/2 Mile
18.73
1 Mile
30.60
75-125 MPH
8.20
That's me happy
top speed suggests that one might have **** midrange too
