edited December 2019 in Pit Board Notices

The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ is now over, but worry not: we plan to continue running Grand Prix events throughout the off season while we continue to prepare cool new features for next year.

Here's what you can expect in our latest update:

  • Discover new Grand Prix™ medals and show the world what difficulty and final rank you reach in each event

  • Skip the Crate delivery timers and get free Boosts each day by watching video ads

  • Qualifying lap cameras have been smoothed out

  • Access all of our community channels through the Settings menu

  • Fixed a number of community reported issues

We'd love to hear your feedback on all the cool stuff coming in the latest update that we've outlined below, so be sure to join us on Facebook, Twitter and here on our official Forums to let us know what you think.

What are medals?

Medals are unique awards you can earn by doing well in Grand Prix™ events. Not only do they look amazing, but they will also help you show off to the rest of the world!

The last medals you have earned will automatically appear below your profile picture and in your player profile (from the home screen) at the end of an event. You cannot earn more than one medal in a given event.

If you miss a Grand Prix™ event or do not qualify, the medal slot will remain blank, so make sure to participate regularly if you want to keep showing off!

How can I earn medals?

Medals will be awarded to players reaching the following Grand Prix™ event stages:

- Qualifying for the Opening round

- Qualifying for the Final round

- Finishing the event in 1st, 2nd, 3rd place or among the top 10

Each medal will have a different look and appearance depending on:

- The stage of the Grand Prix™ Event that you reached

- What tier of difficulty you entered

- The Grand Prix™ itself

Updates to the pit stop button when in the pit lane

UI improvements to make the pit stop button display more clearly what is going on:

- When the car enters the pit lane it will now display which tyre type the player is switching to.

- Before the car enters the pit bay the player can press the button to change which tyre type they want.

- While pitting, the button will be greyed out and cannot be tapped.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Players can now watch ads to reduce the delivery time of crates

- When a crate is being delivered, there is text on the crate’s icon showing that the delivery can be sped up.

- The player can choose to watch an ad or to open the crate immediately using bucks.

- Watching an ad will reduce the delivery time by 30 minutes.
- Players can watch 5 of these ads every 24 hours.

- The 5 available ads can be distributed as the player wishes. They can all be used on one crate, or on multiple different crates.

- If there is less than 30 minutes left on the crate’s delivery time, the crate will open immediately after watching the ad.

Community tab

There is now a community tab in the settings menu that has a link to the Hutch Forum / Instagram / F1 Youtube Channel / F1 Manager Twitter / F1 Manager Facebook page. Be sure to head over and drop us a Follow!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Visual improvements for purchasing boosts during qualifying

Improvements have been added to make purchasing boosts during qualifying quicker and easier. There are now two separate buttons for equipping and purchasing boosts.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grand Prix Score History

You can now tap your own score and the scores of the other players in your bucket in rounds that you do not need to play in (e.g. You can still see the scores for your qualified Q1 bucket when the GP is in Q3).

We hope you're as excited about the update as we are and the F1® Manager team would like to wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!

I can't play a single race after this update. In game , it is not matching my rivals.

My full name is visible after the latest update, please advise if there is any possibility to change this. I have not linked the game to Facebook.

Hey preet2605. This will be because we've released an update and you're not currently updated (and trying to match with someone who is). Your game should automatically have updated by now - but, if not, head to the Google Play or Apple Store to make sure you're on the latest version.

    Thanks!

any chance of having races with more than 2 human managers?
  • Matchmaking is not fair atm. I'm constantly up against people way way ahead of me. Playing same 3 tracks when Monaco is as boring as in real life. 1 stop strategy with either tyre and barely any overtaking.
In the last week, I've only won 5 races when playing many many times a day.
I'm upgraded to 10 with pretty much all my common ones and barely any rewards for epic. I'm up to level 7 in tracks now and no more progress there either.
I did really enjoy this when I was moving along, as soon as I've upgraded all common to 10 then there's nothing left really but for the same boring 3 street circuits and barely any other upgrades.
As a thought, are you going to allow people to upgrade further than level 10? As most of my rewards are for already upgraded to 10 stats and the game feels a bit stuck to me with not much left to achieve.
My game is also up to date.
    Cheers.

I asked they said not possible yet, due to complications that it may cause. Game is new to world, so it is still evolving, their server is small, and match making will be hard to do, with more than 2 players. For now  enjoy GP events. Future is bright, for this game.

Try Grosjean and Perez. Power highest, aero 2nd highest, grip 3rd highest. Pit stop time not more than 4 sec. Reliability don't care at the  moment.
    Grosjean and Lecrec
Grosjean is a must driver, so:
Pair him with Shuffle of drivers for every 2 days straight, and see which pair gets best qualified.

Not one to complain, but every since I updated the game has become very stuttery

I second this. Many times over. There aren't early enough opportunities to get epics and rares, and with all my commons maxed, I have nothing to play for. Nothing. I still like the game to a degree, but, there's still a lot that's left to be desired.

I am Extremely Frustrated with the Match Making. I Started Playing this Game, really LOVE it. When I started finding some Success, and winning Races I started trying to focus on getting upgrades done - unfortunately, as soon as I hit 200 Flags, it seems I got thrown into another "Pool" when it comes to matchmaking. I can barely win a race now maybe 1 out of 10 (across all Series) even when I go back to the beginning. without changing a single thing I have gone from 100% Flags in the first 4 series, to unable to win a race at all.I have been knocked down to 100 Flags, and am consistently out Qualified and matched with driver 230 Flags and higher.
During the race, even when I run a perfect race, no mistakes and good strat, I am Miles behind. I cannot string together enough wins to either run upgrades or even just enter the 2020 event. This is extremely frustrating.

The only Idea I have is to reset my progress somehow and start over, and avoid hitting 200 FLAGS until I am a lot further along with my upgrades - But this is far from Ideal, I just feel stuck.

    Any Advise??

Review your Pit & Tyre strategy.
The qualifying times shown don't apply when trying to squeeze that last lap out of your rubber.
If your car has been built to qualify and match another player, you`re being beat on the track!
