they will change the durango's name, not the stats
Please don’t say that, you make me cry... I really want that Durango SRT, such a beast IRL!
Do we have any precedent on this sort of change?
Don’t know what ‘precedent’ means, because I am not a native speaker and Google Translate doesn’t know it. So I don’t know if this answer is what you are looking for:
@Hutch_Tim told me that Hutch would maybe create a system that provides more information to the players about planned car stats changes. However, he never answered...
By the way, I have two Durangos maxed out at 969 and 996.

Precedent: have we (they) had to do this sort of thing before? What did we (they) do last time?
Precedence: this thing is more important than or comes before that thing I.e. it precedes it

Update: the RQ21 Ford escort rally spec tuned 699/033 ow loses to 303/969 on g-force as well...essentially rendering any 699/033 escort rally worthless. So more than just slalom and hillclimbs

699 wins indoor karting and dirt g force. Not exactly worthless

Didn’t 699 win city streets (can’t remember if small or medium) before the patch?

Not really sure what to make of this..."better MRA"... Ignoring the 0-60 that is obviously irrelevant in a 75-125 race my boxster is 117kg lighter and has 57 more BHP and almost 50% more torque.
those high-end challengers seem to be the only useful cars in this update. I'm tempted to buy carbons once they show up but I only have enough gold for two so the chances are rather slim.
I spent about a million IG cash on US packs, pulled the hellcat, one other not so good epic and 3 ultra rares, rest were C’s.
That Widebody beating the Mclaren is amazing! What’s the diff between the two Epic Hellcats? They have the same stats except the yellow one has more grip for some reason. I mean they both have the same width! Where is your “widebody”? But seriously, do u know if one beats the other in a straight line?
Have a look at the wheelarches and you'll see why one is the widebody and the other isn't.
Ya but arches don’t dictate width...oh I see now, flared to fit fatter tires, which is why it has more grip than the regular green hellcat. But pics show what looks like exact same predtruding tires...no farther out than green one. It looks like the wheel arches are just flared. Same exact angle on both and tires are identical. But I don’t know anything...just curious
Wider wheelbase, not wider tyres. Alas I'm not an automatic engineer so I don't know the physics as to why that would mean better grip.
Super late to responding to this, but the Hellcat comes with 275/40R20. That's as wide of a tire as the chassis/bodywork could be fitted with. So to get a larger tire on the car, the Hellcat Widebody (and Demon) come equipped with fender flares that house 305/35R20 tires.

The boxster has very good mid-range. That's just how it is sadly

Yeah I get that. Guess I'm just wondering what factors in to good MRA if power, weight AND torque aren't a factor!

I don't think anything factors in it. Hutch just makes it up as they go and they're entirely inconsistent with it.
So the Superbird has some serious MRA. In the weekly challenge tuned to 1.1 engine and 1.2 weight, it Shot out of the gate faster than a 996 El Camino and barely lost.

No it does not. It barely won against my 996 impala.

Yea looked poor to me. Shot out fast then lacked midrange and lost to corvette 396
You expect something with a wing that massive to have great mid range? Drag on that thing is massive.
Not that bad actually. A friend of mine got to do this really cool comparison in a wind tunnel of a 1969 Charger, 1969 Charger Daytona and a 2015 Charger Hellcat. It's a great read for car-geeks who love technical information like this.
The Daytona's changes over the regular Charger were as much for aerodynamics as creating down-force. The rear wing when left in the neutral default position creates very little downforce and is there more for stability; mainly to help stop the Charger's rear-end from 'bouncing' at speed. The Charger Daytona has far less drag than the 1969 Charger and even a bit less than a 2015 Hellcat.
It's actually surprising how close the '69 Charger is to the '15 Hellcat in terms of drag and downforce.

kind of weird to see the change
