41. Old enough that I have been participating in online forums for longer than some of you have been alive.
BBS Boards FTW
I remember when I upgraded from a 2800 baud modem to a 9600, and finally a 14.4. Ahh those were the days.
Our first family modem was a 1200.
I remember when a 1 gig hard drive was only for the rich people lol
I’m not that old, but I took apart my family’s old 2005 Dell Dimension B110 and was shocked at the HDD size of 120gb, 1gb of RAM, etc. I can only imagine specs from when computers first came around.
Fond memories of my ZX81 with its 1KB of memory, upgraded to a '16K Rampack' that slotted on the back... good times.
You'd spend hours typing in code for some crappy game from a magazine just to get to the end and your mum accidentally switches it off at the socket.... arrrggghhh

Yep, we had these in Australia too but it was only one brand.
The first issue they they had was of course they had to change them when they realised smoking was unhealthy so they removed the red coloring on the end so they were just white sticks of candy.
The second issue was the brand name which was the colloquial or nickname for cigarettes in Australia which I think was also used in the British slang.
Now im obviously not going to type that word, but they ended up renaming them to be called ‘Fads’.
You can work out what they used to be called on your own, and yes, we’ve come along way down here in that even though that wasn’t the intent back in the day, we worked out early on that ‘ummmm guys in the marketing department, we need to rename these please!’
